My good friend and talented poet Jeff Huffine wrote this poem about an Insane Jane performance. Thanks Jeff, you rock!
your voice growing like petals
of roses reaching through stone
revealing in whitened light
pastel colors, milky and full
a bouncing backbeat drum
walking us through your song
so tonight the time drags beyond
and tomorrow will cast no blame
we slide and sing in time
incased in the words of your cove
until the hour is to fall
for minutes coaxing along
the crowd will slowly converge
and convey an unsuitable play
of swimming words, a rivers flow
hoping to know the shortest way home
what collects, what doesn't know
that there’s much left to know
in a voice popping like petals
and words summoned from stone
